Todd and Megs Plus 2: Rowan's 5 Month Letter

My Dearest Rowan,

Well my handsome Son, I'm a week late in writing this and I still can't believe that you are five Months old...
Boy does time fly...
This past Month has been a really tough one, and if it wasn't for your big smile each Morning and your Big Sissy's silly antics I really don't know what I'd do....
Since my last letter to you our dear Uncle Ray has gone to heaven....
I am just so saddened that you are so young when this happened....
He loved you so much and you were such a good boy, staying very long hours at the hospital during his final days....
You always smiled when he asked for his "George" (this is what he has called you since you were in my belly)....
And up to his last day you made him smile....
I know that you will forever have a guardian angel in him and even though we miss him so much, I know in my heart that he can see you growing day by day up from above....
Even though we have been dealing with such grieve you have continued to grow leaps and bounds....
I cannot believe how big you are, you eat three meals a day not including all of your bottles....
You've learned to enjoy lots of new tastes such as oatmeal, sweet potatoes, apples, and continue to favor your pears above all else....
Sadly when you hit your 5 month mark I had to stop nursing...
But this was all your fault :-)....
You grew your first tooth and decided that it was ok to bite during nursing...
I gave you multiple chances but after an incident that brought tears in my eyes I decided no more....
Shortly after this you grew your second tooth....
I can't believe it....
Two teeth!!!!....
Such a big boy....
Right now you are chewing on everything, and everything you can get your hands on goes straight into your mouth....
You have also started to enjoy spending Lot's of time in your jumper/bouncer...
You will get that going so high, it's adorable....
Another one of your new discoveries is your vocal cords...
My goodness are you a loud one now....
Shrieking in delight and sometimes just to see how loud you can be....
You've also become ticklish...
It's the cutest thing hearing you laugh and giggle....
You and Sissy continue to enjoy each other, each and every time you see you you get all excited, shrieking and swinging your arms about....
You now know who each of us are and now greet Daddy with a ton of excitement when he gets in from work....
Your personality is starting to really shine through...
You get frustrated when you can't pick up a toy just right, and if something gets taken away that you don't agree with or if I walk out of the room you will through a complete fit....
But as soon as I walk back in your face turns into a big smile...
I often accuse you of playing possum....
You are such a joy and blessing....
Daddy Mommy and Sissy love you so much....
