Catching Up...

So I haven't blogged in a while...
Oops...
I however, have very valid reasons...
Sadly my Uncle Ray has fallen into some very poor health...
I'm so saddened and worried by this...
Please keep him and my family in your prayers...
Also, I had an incident while nursing Rowan and reaching for the curtain...
I heard a really loud snap and instantly my neck was stuck in a certain position...
My left shoulder was also stuck in a shrug position...
Not to mention the pain...
After a couple days of bearing the pain and trying to heal it on my own I was forced to head to the doctor...
After the x-rays my Doctor ordered I was presented with some pretty grave news...
My 6th and 7th cervical vertebrae are dislodged from my spinal column and sitting to the right...
This is lifting my left shoulder approx 2 inches higher than my right shoulder...
So on top of the pain I look weird...
My doctor consulted with the spinal surgeon and chief radiologist...
And everyone agreed that the next step step is a CT Scan to determine the condition of my spinal cord...
Once that is complete we will decide on a procedure for fixing the vertebrae...
Either manual placement or surgery...
So fun fun fun...
Anyways...
Back to catching up...
This past Sunday was Fourth of July...
Mom and Grandma were nice enough to come to our house and watch Baby Rowan so Todd and I could head out onto the boat at Folsom Lake...



This was our first trip out together since Rowan was born to just relax...
So nice spending time with my Hubby...



We met up with Kyle and Selena...
Tied the boats up together and had such a fun time visiting...
And yes as shown in this pic Kyle is a goof...



Kyle brought the floating island and we all really enjoyed it...



After boating Todd and I headed back to our house a little sunburned and tired...
But refreshed...
I fed Rowan his dinner and we along with Mom and Grandma headed over to Tom's house for a Fourth of July BBQ...

As you can see Rowan enjoyed the BBQ...



We headed home when the fireworks started...
The next day I dressed Rowan all cute with his new outfit and shoes my Mom got for him...
Uncle Arron came home and we headed to the grocery store...



Rowan sure loves his Uncle Arron...



Gracie returned back from a visit with her Dad and sure was happy to see her little Brother...
She couldn't contain herself and needed to hold him immediately...
He was getting ready to get in the bath at the time...



After bath time Gracie read a book to Rowan...
She's such a good reader and Rowan really seems to enjoy it...



The next day we just hung around the house...
Until Mom came to watch the kiddos while Todd and I went and visited Uncle Ray in the hospital...
Here are my adorable kiddos...



Yesterday I dressed Rowan and Gracie in their matching Hawaiian outfits my Mom got them while visiting Maui...



Rowan thought this was hilarious...



Tonight I was able to grab a picture of Rowan's new habit...
It sure is nice now that he can self sooth...
He has been sleeping all the way through the night for the few weeks...
And boy do I appreciate it...



I will end this post with a picture of my dear Uncle Ray and Rowan taken this past Saturday right before he was put back in the hospital...

Gracie has a horseback riding lesson tomorrow...
I have Rowan's 4 month letter and pictures to do also...
