It has really allowed us the time to bond as a family of four...
Not to mention all of the help and support I get from him around the house...
It is so nice not worrying about him being at work as I try and figure out our new routine and time schedules with Rowan...
So yesterday was Monday, and another lesson learned...
Just because Todd isn't working does not mean our days are any less busy...
We started the day off with a Doctor's appointment for me...
I had a feeling the appointment was a mistake, due to the fact that it was originally an appointment scheduled for my induction if I was still pregnant...
However, while speaking to Kaiser regarding Todd's "over the phone Doctor's appointment" the Kaiser representative insisted that not only was the appointment not cancelled but I NEEDED to go to it...
So we packed up Rowan and headed to Kaiser...
Of course when we got there and I checked in, they informed me that the appointment should have been cancelled and I was basically there for no reason...
Grrrr...
Fortunately the trip was not pointless, we had to pick up medication for Todd at the pharmacy and turn in paperwork for my Doctor to fill out, to later submit to his work for his paid leave...
So after doing the pharmacy and Member Services business at Kaiser we headed to our favorite Costa Vida for lunch...
YUMMY!!!
We just love this place...
With cooking and eating at home all the time it sure does make us really appreciate the delicousness when we go...
To think Todd and I use to eat lunch there everyday when we were both working...
Talk about taking advantage of a good thing...
We didn't really appreciate it back then...
So after our yummy lunch with Rowan we had just under an hour until we had to head towards Gracie's school to pick her up...
Not wanting to head back home only to have to leave in under 20 minutes we decided to stop by Todd's office to show them Rowan...
Todd's office is directly across the street from Kaiser so this time frame was perfect...
We headed over with our adorable Rowan and visited for a while...
I was disapointed that Paul hadn't returned from lunch yet, but fortunatley we stayed long enough and he came walking through the door....
Yay!!!
You'll just have to trust me when I say Paul is one of the nicest guys you'll meet, he's a real family man, and so good to Todd, Gracie, and I...
I was really happy he was able to see Rowan...
After a nice visit it was time to leave to get Gracie...
After picking up Gracie we headed home...
Over the weekend Todd had surprised Gracie by hanging almost 75 stars on her ceiling...
Here he is at the begining of a very long task...

Gracie was thrilled when she discovered them...
I'm unsure if you're going to be able to make them out, but here's a tiny portion of her ceiling...

Later we took Gracie and Rowan on a walk around the neighborhood...
Gracie ran up ahead and snapped a picture of us...

Here I am totally enjoying being a Mother of two...

It wasn't long before Gracie wanted to push her little Brother...
After getting off of the somewhat busy street and into the quieter residential area I obliged...

I found it fitting that she was wearing "I'm The Big Sister" on her shirt...
:-)
Gracie did great and pushed Rowan for a very long time...
She was extremely unwilling to give up the stroller...
She's doing a great job as a big Sister...

While looking at this on our walk I couldn't help but be flooded with emotion...
I am just so happy and proud of our family...
I never knew that my heart could hold this much love...
I never imagined that my little family would be so perfect and awesome...
It's so much better than my wildest dreams...

Along the way, we played many different little games with Gracie...
Everything from our favorite mailboxes and houses, to counting kitties...
This one was one of our favorites last night...
He was super friendly and let all three of us pet him...

Todd and I really enjoyed Gracie's crazy antics...
Her and Todd had a few races...
And Todd and I were both astonished yet again by how much energy this girl has...

We walked well over two miles...
And nearing the end of our journey...
Todd finally obliged and gave Gracie a shoulder ride...

Pretty darn cute these two...
:-)
So shortly after arriving back home I realized that perhaps I had done a little to much to my newly still healing unpregnant body...
While nursing Rowan I couldn't hold back the feeling to get sick...
I was super light headed and I began to hurt in places I hadn't hurt since a couple days after Rowan's birth...
Oops!!!
I'm just so eager to get my body back, and so happy to be up and around that I'm ignoring the Doctor's orders of six weeks of rest a little to much...
So Todd's making me reign it in...
As I should...
I got so bad last night that I had to go lay down in bed...
Rowan seemed to understand, and snuggled right down with me...
Todd was an amazing Husband as always and made dinner for the three of us...
I felt so bad when I was unable to eat it due to my nausea but he understood...
Todd got Gracie all situated and in bed, she was extremely tired after the walk and fell fast asleep...
He packed her lunch for school, and did all of my evening tasks for me...
I'm so lucky...
While dozing in the bedroom with Rowan, Todd's Mom called and asked if she could stop by because she had a present for me...
Boy does she know how to not only make me feel better, but also make me feel special...
Shortly after her phone call I was greeted by her at the foot of my bed with this painting...

Isn't it just stunning...
I felt so special...
I am so blessed and grateful to have her in my life...
Thank you again Mom for such a gorgeous painting...
Todd hung it for me this morning when we returned home from dropping off Gracie at school...
Doesn't it look great???

I will end this post with my adorable son...
And this outfit really does speak the truth...

Hope this finds everyone smiling,
Big Hugs,
