Rowan Meets Uncle Ray...

So yesterday was such an amazing day...
Something I've been waiting to do for nine months...
Putting the magnitude of my emotions into words is impossible...
So I will just tell you this is one of the most special days of my life...
One that I will cherish forever...

There is no way that I can go into all of the history of my Uncle Ray...
But to put it in a nutshell my Uncle Ray is the most cherished male figure in my life...
Not having my Dad around was really hard growing up, however I didn't go without...
My Uncle Ray filled that void and gave me so much more...
He has been in my life since I was 2 years old...
Always full of words of encouragement, support, and love...
He would tell me when I did wrong, and was always there to encouraging me when I did right...

Once I was grown and had little Gracie I was so lucky to watch Gracie form such a strong bond with her Uncle Ray...
It's so awesome to watch them interact, because as they have their moments I can't help but reflect back to my childhood as I shared those same experiences...

Having a son allowed me to honor him with passing along his name...
I kept this a secret from Uncle Ray all this time...
I didn't want to tell him until I was putting Rowan in his arms...
Todd video taped the moment and we took lots of pictures...
My heart was overflowing and I couldn't be more proud...

Here is Rowan meeting his Uncle Ray

The first of many Uncle Ray and Rowan chats...

This is one happy Mama...

Here's the video of the special moment...

Rowan also had some time stretching his legs in his new baseball outfit his Great Grandma got for him...

How cute are the feet???
:-)

So yesterday was a really special day...
I will end this post with a funny Gracie moment...
While at Aunt Edie's and Uncle Ray's yesterday Gracie hopped into the baby swing she use to swing in as an infant...
Problem was that once she got in she couldn't get out...
Her bottom was stuck and when she tried to stand up to wiggle out of it she flipped forward and she had to yell for Todd to come and rescue her...
It was pretty darn funny...

Hope This Finds Everyone Smiling,
Big Hugs,
