Todd and Megs Plus 2: A Letter To Rowan...

Dear Rowan,

Well well well my handsome Son...
You are 2 months old today...
I just can't believe it!!!
Since my last letter, you have changed and grown so much...
Your personality is really developing and shining through...
You now smile all the time, especially when you see Mommy or Daddy...
I must tell you there is no better feeling than when I am so exhausted with barely any sleep and I go to pick you up and you beam with the biggest little baby smile...
It just makes my heart overflow with love...
Your smile is just so adorable...
It's slightly crooked and so ridiculously charming...
You've also begun to coo...
And you're extremely partial to blue...
In your play gym you will only talk to the big blue whale...
And let me tell you what, you have quite the conversation with him every Morning...
It's just the cutest thing...
At first I just thought you liked the whale...
But now that you're bigger I'm putting you in your bouncer a lot more...
And while sitting in that you will only talk to the blue fish...
The yellow lion and red bird do nothing to peak your interest...
But that darn blue fish; you'll tell your life story to...
I'm curious to see if when you're older you are still partial to blue...
:-)
You've also learned that you'll get my attention much quicker if you let out a high pitched shriek instead of fussing...
Smart little guy...
And spoiled rotten I might add....
Thankfully at 8 weeks you are now sleeping much better through the night...
Thank goodness because Mommy being a constant zombie could not have been fun for you...
You know what I did a couple weeks ago???
You were up and not sleeping well for quite a few nights in a row...
It was during the week so I didn't have help from Daddy and in my exhaustion I put hand soap on my toothbrush instead of toothpaste...
Goofy Mommy!!!

Another thing to note at your 2 month mark is your growth...
You are huge!!!
You're now wearing 6 to 9 Month clothing and continue to nurse like a champ...
As a matter of fact I feel like I'm nursing 18 out of 24 hours in the day...
Worth it though, because you are just so darn healthy...
My milk supply is really feeling the effects of your constant eating however, and for the past 3 nights I've given you a bottle right before bed...
I'm working on increasing my milk supply, but in the meantime you seem to be handling just one bottle a night pretty well...
I'm unsure how much you weigh at this point...
You have your Well Baby visit this coming Wednesday where we'll find out your weight, height...
And SHOTS!!!

So my precious little boy another Month has come to pass and Gracie, Daddy, and I are just mesmerized by you...
I thank the Lord everyday that you have been put in my life...
Your chubby cheeks, crooked smiles, and big blue eyes just light up my world....
Thank you for being so amazing, I love you so much....
I will talk to you next Month Boo Boo's....

You usually take your Morning naps with me on the couch...

Jinx has loved you since you were in my tummy...
She continues to watch over you constantly and will meow and meow when you are fussing...
You seem to really enjoy watching her...
I placed you on Gracie's bed to hang up some of her laundry and Jinx snuggled right down next to you...

You still take your nightly baths with Mommy and continue to really enjoy your time in the tub...
Daddy sits with us every night and drys you off afterwards while I get your PJ's...
You've now graduated to big towels...
The baby towels just don't wrap you up anymore...
