Gracie's First Riding Lesson...

Well today was Gracie's first riding lesson...
It was early this Morning to beat the heat...
As soon as Todd woke her up she was super excited...
As I was getting her ready she was talking a mile a minute asking a ton of questions...
So darn cute...
She didn't get quiet until we arrived at the stables...
Here she is in the back of the Jeep on the way to the stables...



Here she is waiting for her horse to get warmed up on the lunge line...



Here she is with her super proud Mama...



Here she is on the mounting block waiting to meet her horse...



And then they met...
So cute...
This is her lesson horse...
A Black Quarter Horse named Tony...



And the riding begins...



She then practiced balance and at a stand still and at a walk she had to reach and touch the horses ears, than tail, than her toes...



Rowan loved watching his Big Sister and sat quietly in the shade and watched the whole time...





She did so good...
She worked at a walk and trot..
Both on the lead and off...
She worked on transitions and posting...
Her trainer was very impressed by how well she was doing...

After we came home we opened Gracie's new porcelain doll we got yesterday...
She just loves it...
And it really is beautiful...



Then it was drawing time for Todd and Gracie while I got Rowan down for his nap...
