I'm doing this for Mediation on Tuesday...
Once I had the past year printed out in color tangible in my hands I realized what a special Journal it is for my children to have as they grow up...
In doing this I decided that instead of not blogging while Gracie is away I'm going to do the exact opposite...
I'm going to continue so that when she is in my arms again I can sit down with her and we can read together every day that I have missed her...
(She loves to read my blog by the way, and every time I post she is so excited to see the pictures)...
So prior to all of this I organized my photos by Month on my computer...
Tonight I made a new folder titled "While Grace Was Away"...
This way she won't miss everything...
Especially with Rowan growing like a weed and doing new things each and every day...
So to start off the while Grace was away story...
Here is the last pictures I have of her...
This was the day before school was let out for Summer...
Her class had a Writer's Workshop Celebration where they presented all of their books they had written throughout the year...
I forgot I had these pictures of her until I was uploading some pictures of Rowan...
Here she is with one of her books...
This book is so precious and so well done...
It is a book about horses (of course)
:-)
Inside the front cover she dedicated it to her "Baby Brother"...
How sweet is that...

Here she is with her First Grade Teacher Mrs. Hartwell...

While vacuuming a few days ago I picked up our cat figurines off the floor and set them on the cat tree to clear the floor...
It was the cutest thing...
Jinx was so offended that these "fake kitties" took her spot...
She hopped right up and claimed what space was left and didn't move until I put them back on the floor...
Silly kitty...

Rowan is becoming more and more attentive and aware of his surroundings on a daily basis...
He has these toy ducks that he just adores during bath time...
We line them up on the edge of the tub and Todd makes each one of them talk...
They're pretty funny ducks by the way...
Most of the time I'm laughing so darn hard...
Next time you see Todd you should ask him to do his "Duck Conversations"...

Rowan is desperate to get his hands on those darn duckies...

Here he is peaking out from underneath his towel after his bath last night...
I'm posting this picture so you can catch a glimpse of his beautiful eyes...
He looks so much like Todd, but some how he managed to take my blue eyes..

Now I know this is only a face Todd or I could love...
But I know Gracie will get a kick out of it...
Lately Rowan has discovered that he can use his hands to help me feed him his Rice Cerel...

He's also smiling like crazy these days...
Here his smile is so big his eyes are squinted...

Today my Mom came over for a visit...
With everything that has been going on I missed my appointment to get my stitches out...
Having a Mom in the medical field sure did come in handy...
She saved me from having sutures growing into my poor scalp and removed them today in the kitchen...
As you can see in the picture, she must have said something funny...

Within the past couple days Rowan has started picking things up with one hand...

Then bring the other hand up to the object, holding it with both hands, and putting the object right into his mouth of course!!!

Rowan and I have been doing lots of cuddling lately...
It's almost like he knows I need it...

This is his "Where is my Big Sister face"

I will end this post with an image that always brings me peace...

I must add that Rowan has been sleeping through the night now for the past week or so...
Some Mornings we actually have to wake him up...
:-)
So there is a little snipit of our family minus one for now...
We're trying to stay strong, taking one day at a time...
Tomorrow is Todd's first Father's Day and I'm going to do everything in my power to make it a special one for him...
Hopefully I'll have pictures and a blog about it tomorrow...
Hope this finds everyone smiling,
We will be soon,
Big Hugs,
